Creating Specialist Designs for Customers
We create a huge range of card styles and designs for our charity clients. As every charity is different we look to understand how this difference can contribute to cards that are more special, more reflective of their cause. This may be simply a matter of working around relevant themes, but also may be very subtle. By working closely with charities we look to create beautiful card designs and cards with particular meaning or relevance to their supporters. Often these cards go on to be their best sellers and contribute both by raising awareness and raising much-needed funds.
Here are a few examples of responding to more specialist briefs for cards.
Snowy Blackbird
Designed by Alison Hedley
Charity client: RSPB
Derived originally from the woodcut design style for an everyday card our client liked, we worked with the artist to develop this design into a Christmas card version.
Christmas Lighthouse
Designed by Clare Leary
Charity client: RNLI
Working around themes that are at the heart of our charities work can often produce best selling cards. Here’s an example of that with a card for RNLI integrating both lifeboat and lighthouse motif’s into the design.
Wish upon a Star
Designed by Lynsey McLaughlin
Charity client: Clic Sargent
This was a brief that was created by the client for a positive, hopeful image at Christmas. Clic sargent is a children’s cancer charity and very much look to feature children on their cards.
Winter Bird Wreath
Designed by Caroline Gordon
Charity client: RSPB
Caroline designed this card based on the popularity of RSPB’s circular format cards from previous years. Designed with multiple British garden birds.
